Rogaine on temple points?

Question

Hi I have been using rogaine 2 percent on my temple points for about 1 and a half months now and I have began to notice small hairs appearing on the temple point region. I was wondering will these hairs grow to be as thick as terminal hairs? How long would I have to wait to see results? Also would rogaine 5% provide better results ? Thank you very much

It takes about 6 months to see results with Rogaine.  I suggest seeing a hair loss expert now to evaluate and go over your condition and provide you information about your best treatment options. While Rogaine 2% is effective at preventing hair loss in the majority of individuals who use it, it is not always effective at regrowing or reversing hair loss. If your goal is hair regrowth, there are many other options available to you such as laser therapy, PRP therapy, and medication. You should meet with an experienced hair transplant surgeon certified by the ISHRS. Make sure they specialize in the medical management of hair loss and not just hair transplant surgery. Continue being proactive in your treatment of hair loss. It is the best way to stop hair loss in its tracks and fight future hair loss.

Studies have shown the minoxidil 5 % twice daily is more effective than 2 % twice daily application. The use of minoxidil can grow hair on the temple peaks; however, there is no guarantee that these will grow into normal hairs

At our office we have noticed that rogaine is more effective in the midrange to crown area and we usually use it for prevention of future hair loss. We recommend to use 5% for men and 2% for women and be used twice daily to get better results.
