Can you regrow turbinate after resection?

Question

I think i have empty nose syndrome .. what can be done after too much turbinates reduction ? I've lost 2.5 cm × 1.5 × 0.5 cm of my turbinates total of both sides, Can turbinates grow back ? is there a solution with implant not from my body ?

Patients who have too much space in the nose often do not sense the air flowing through the nose and this can be uncomfortable. Adding volume to anterior to the turbinates or along the floor of the nose can sometimes help. This volume can be implanted surgically or injected with commercial fillers like Rrestylane.

Turbinates do not grow back, if you do not respond to conservative management you might need surgery to fix the issue.

Its difficult to say based on those dimensions. However its possible that you have had them over resected, or perhaps you have another reasons for nasal obstruction ( if that's your symptom). There are several other causes of nasal obstruction. I would perhaps visit someone who deals with empty nose syndrome frequently ( a facial plastic surgeon or ENT that deals with septal perforations has much more experience than the average ENT).  If the turbinate have been over resected, than there is no solution except hydration with saline. However these days its rare to find totally removed turbinates( most physicians know better than to resect the turbinates fully).  Even  over resected (but still present) turbinates can still sense air flow, which helps to prevent the sensation characteristic of empty nose syndrome. Good Luck!
