Does microneedling the eyebrows with 2.0mm lead to hair follicle damage?

Question

I did microneedling in my face, eyebrows and edges using 2.0mm depth dr.Pen. Afterwards, I read that people usually use a depth of 0.5mm for hair regrowth. Did I damage the hair follicles in my edges and my eyebrows? Ps.: now, 3 months after my microneedling, and I notice a patchy eyebrow on one side. My edge also got a little sparser. I have never seen issues with deep needling and hair loss. however you can use a roller with latisse and PRP/acell injections to help the eyebrows grow.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Microneedling can help regrow hair, especially when combined with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to help stimulate hair growth. I understand your concern with the depth of the procedure, however, it should not have a negative impact on your results.
