Thank you for your pictures and questions. There is no possible way to diagnose "infection" based on a photo. At one week out from a breast fat transfer, it is expected that you would have a lot of bruising and swelling, so this could be normal. However, this type of procedure should not be taking 6 hours, so I am suspicious that you had your procedure with someone who was not familiar with the technique or properly trained to do it. If that is the case or you are concerned, then I would strongly advise you to be evaluated ASAP by a local plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery just to be safe.Hope this helps!

You are on antibiotics and a week out from fat grafting... some redness and swelling is normal.  If you have progressive swelling and redness along with increasing pain and fever, you should see your surgeon for an exam to see if you do have an infection brewing.  Infections after fat grafting are quite rare to begin with.
