Answer: Redness after laser resurfacing Hi Queen. In some cases our laser resurfacing patients can have redness for up to three months. This is because the deeper the resurfacing, the longer for the recovery process to be complete. You look like you are healing very well, albeit still red. With time, the redness will fade. Best of luck.

Answer: Redness after Fraxel Treatment Thank you for your question and I appreciate your concern. Redness like yours is common after a Fraxel treatment, and can persist for many weeks depending on the depth of the procedure. Make sure you are following your post-procedure protocol prescribed by your doctor and avoid direct sun exposure at all costs. My guess is that you will see substantial improvement in the next week or two as the skin continues to heal.

Answer: Red Marks after Fraxel Treatment It is common to have this erythema after this procedure. Everyone is different in their healing process, due to skin sensitivity and the specific depth of the procedure. I encourage you to give yourself more time to heal. When you arrive at your next follow-up appointment, I would guess your redness will be significantly diminished and you should be starting to see the positive results from your procedure. There are ways to promote healing such as silicone gels and using Vbeam laser as well.

Answer: Post Laser Redness Redness after laser treatments and microneedling is very common and should not be cause for alarm. If you have doubts, I suggest scheduling a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist who can provide a formal evaluation and help you successfully manage the post-treatment redness. They can also evaluate if you have any potential risk of scarring. In my practice, we have more than 45 lasers that we use in combination with microneedling and other treatment modalities to successfully treat our patients.

Answer: Hyperpigmentation after Laser Treatment -- Clear+Brilliant, Aerolase, Genesis, Venus Viva, Cosmelan, DermalInfusion, Skin Care Hyperpigmentation and inflammation after laser procedures is quite common. In general, hyperpigmentation of any kind needs a combination approach of peels like Cosmelan, lasers like Clear + Brilliant, Aerolase and Laser Genesis, radiofrequency treatments like Venus Viva, and constant skin care and sun protection. Bimonthly facials with SilkPeel / DermalInfusion are essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with an expert in lasers and peels. Best, Dr. Emer.
