I am noticing the lower abdomen is puffy. It is hard above the TT scar but on the pubis it is squishy jiggly feeling. Its been like this for awhile and not getting bigger or smaller. Does this look like I will need a revision due to lack of elasticity? My PS did Lipo the Pubis area. My PS is 5 hours away so I would like a few opinions before going back in July to discuss with him. (Before belly after Twins)

Answer: Lower abdominal bulge after Fleur-de-Lis tummy tuck Thank you for your questions and photos. Prolonged swelling or edema can certainly be common after a F-de-L tummy tuck as the venous drainage is severely compromised by the nature of the procedure. A fluid collection or seroma can also give you the symptoms that you are describing. I would advise that you not wait 5 months to return to your surgeon. There are multiple therapeutic modalities that can be used (massage, seroma drainage, etc) to improve your result, but the true cause must be determined and this can only happen with an exam by your surgeon. Best wishes!

Answer: 4 wks and 3 days Post Fleur De Lis Tummy Tuck, is this a permanent bulge or swelling? thanks for writing,The real answer as to what this is will be when your surgeon puts his / her hands on your belly wall. A common thing is an accumulation of fluid ( seroma), which if present can be drained and may require an indwelling catheter or repeated aspirations. You really need to contact your surgeon and get this evaluated before July. Send him / her these photos, the sooner the better.Good LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
