Thank you for sharing your experience and I am sorry to hear of your continued discomfort. There may be a way to subtly add volume to your right labia minora through the use of clitoral hood tissue if not disrupted or affected by your original labiaplasty. This can best be evaluated once your are 6+ months out from surgery. I do not see that your clitoral hood or clitoris was injured but an in-person examination would offer more advice. Best wishes.
Dear Am28:I am sorry to hear of your postoperative results. I obviously can see the loss ie amputation of the right labia minora but I can not make out ( in the photo) where he / she sliced your clitoris. It is impossible to restore the actual labia minora but there are things which can be done to take the visual emphasis away from the labia minora and clitoral area. I highly encourage you to seek more than one opinion and get in to a full discussion with the surgeon who states they can help you. Make sure you explain exactly what you want and make sure he defines exactly what he can achieve for you. i encourage you to find a surgeon with great expertise, experience, reputation and has the proven ability to improve, revise or fix botched labiaplasties. If your surgeon is experienced in this type of surgery you should be able to review their work on their website. See if they have before and after photos of their botched or labia revision surgeries. Your next surgery will be your best chance of improving or fixing your condition. Best of luck in your careJohn R Miklos MDAtlanta ~ Beverly Hills ~ Dubai
Hello,You appear to have had a fairly aggressive, but generally decently performed linear LP + ? bilateral lateral hood reduction that still shows swelling around the frenulum & clitoris, the last place that the swelling subsides from. I am not able, from your photo, to see what you describe as a "sliced clitoris."I'd suggest that you wait another 2 weeks, and go back to your surgeon and express your concerns, and get her or his opinion as to what (s)he might do. You may find that, over the next month, a bit more labum my manifest itself as the swelling totally subsides. If you are still dissatisfied, you may carefully seek other consultations, for which there will be a fee, but take care to seek out plastic or cosmetic Gyn surgeons who are experienced with revisions.Best wishes,Michael P Goodman, MDDavis, Northern CA, USA
The best thing to do is call your surgeon, who is familiar with both procedures and all that was done. Explain your concerns. If you would like a second opinion, see a board-certified plastic surgeon or gynecologist with good before-and-after photos of labiaplasty. For more information, see the ...
Hi, this is a great question. The normal time is 6-8 weeks. You should wait until you have been cleared by your surgeon. Best of luck!
