Thank you for your question. The energy from the Halo laser is very specifically targeted to the skin itself - at its highest setting (which is seldom used for full facial treatments), the energy only penetrates the skin to a depth of about 1/40th of an inch. The heat from the laser should have no impact on fat at all - I am not aware of any reports of fat loss after a Halo treatment. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question. No, I've not heard that reported from any of the patients that we have treated. I have been completely impressed the the results of the Halo (I've had it done myself). It does sting a bit if you don't leave the numbing cream (topical local anesthetic) on long enough before it, but by day 5 I was receiving random compliments on my skin. Best wishes.
This is a common concern with patients wanting to have the halo laser. The laser only treats the skin and does not go deep enough to reach the fat or muscles in the face. Which means if you have filler or botox, this will not be ruin the product in any way.
Thanks for the great question. I have not had any patients reporting facial fat loss after halo treatment. The depth at which the Halo is treating is limited to the skin and does not go deep enough to affect the fat. Other treatments used for skin tightening which bulk heat the skin, may cause some fat loss as this heat is transmitted deeper into the tissue. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
No, the Halo laser does not cause fat loss. It's treatment is directed at skin only. It causes the development of new collagen and elastin in skin, removes sun damage and creates a wonderful, healthy glow.
100% not, the laser is very superficial. In fact Halo is one of the most superficial lasers even in the highest setting. You have to go down another .5 cm in most areas to even hit fat, the energy delivered will not cause fat loss. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
Thank you for the great question and I'm sorry you're having this issue. The good news is that this is only temporary! What happens in some patients is that the swelling from the laser treatment causes the pores to close up and acne to form. As the swelling goes down and the pores open up again...
It sure does look like the left side of your face has a different post reaction! Yes, it will heal. I know its only the left now, but redness usually means more collagen production. After heavy resurfacing lasers the redness can last upto 6 months - but usually fully resolves. For...
Yes, this is a common occurrence, its due to the ablative fractional Erbium component of this laser and not the 'invisible NA' laser of HALO. The erbium gives a larger hole than other lasers, however it will usually heal up within a few months. This is more common in darker skin patients. The...
