3 weeks post lower body lift - Penile and erectile issues? Hard to maintain erection post op and full size. Is this normal?

However, these symptoms usually resolve as the body heals and swelling decreases. Typically, by 6-8 weeks post-operatively, swelling should be significantly reduced, and normal function should start to return.

In the meantime, it's important to stay in close contact with your surgeon. They can monitor your progress and address any concerns as they arise. If the issues persist, they may refer you to a urologist for further evaluation.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. There is a chance that your swelling is causing your issues. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Hello and thank you for your question .   It is normal to have penile and mons swelling after this type of surgery.   Once all the swelling goes down, erectile dysfunction should improve.  Compression is key.

Male patients can have penile swelling for several weeks after a lower body lift.  Scrotal support with elevation and supportive garments can significantly improve the swelling.  Heat and massage can help with unwanted bruising in the area and help with secondary swelling.  Erectile dysfunction should improve as the swelling dissipates.

After undergoing surgery, especially a lower body lift, it’s not uncommon for some individuals to experience temporary changes in sexual function, including difficulty maintaining erections. Swelling, pain, and changes in sensation can all contribute to these issues. However, it’s essential to discuss any concerns with your surgeon or a healthcare professional, as they can give recommendations and determine if there are any underlying issues that need addressing.
