I had Vivace Microneedling Fri 4 days ago. It was very painful and I now have hyperpigmentation with redness and gridmarks all over my face. Is there anything I can do other than panic?
Answer: Vivace, still see grid marks 4 days ago I am sorry to hear that your Vivace microneedling was painful. The amount of downtown is related to settins for the procedure. Vivace RF Microneedling can be customized and many parameters can be modified, such as the energy settings, the depth of the needles and the dwell time of the radiofrequency. The preparation prior to and care after Vivace are very critical. If skin is well hydrated and in good condition, the healing occurs more quickly. We also see a better healing response when we use PRP (Platelet rich plasma) with our Vivace procedure. It is not uncommon to have some redness and gridmarks for up to a week depending on the settings.

Answer: Vivace Microneedling RF- Downtime Vivace is popular among my patients because 1. it works. 2. it doesn't hurt. 3. it has minimal downtime. Obviously any laser or device treatment setting can be lowered to the point that there is no downtime. But then there will be no results. The goal is to have minimal downtime but get great results. In my practice Vivace has been that treatment. Thank you for sharing your photo and story. From your discomfort experience during the treatment, it sounds like you got an aggressive treatment, with a bit more downtime than expected. The great news is that you are going to have great results, and do have the option of having the settings adjusted at your next visit as this treatment requires a series of 4 to 6 sessions for optimal results. Also combining this treatment with PRP or platelet rich plasma, will enhance your results and decrease your downtime even if the same settings were repeated. Best of luck in your aesthetic journey. Dr. Monica Bonakdar

Answer: Microneedling Your settings may have been high for you. We can apply numbing cream prior to the procedure. As well, they can lower your settings to decrease the discomfort and improve the healing time. What I can probably say is that due to the higher settings you will have better results but probably higher down time and more discomfort. :Of the various micro-needling and RF devices we tested the Vivace with similar settings was the least uncomfortable

Answer: Vivace For Skin Texture and Antiaging Hi and thank you for sharing your photos and concerns. We always recommend you follow up with your provider so they are aware of your progress, and they may want to see you to assess in person. That said, we do see this type of response with more aggressive treatments and/or with more sensitive skinned patients. We often and do recommend combining it with PRP, to enhance results, as well as expedite healing time. We recommend a series of Vivace, often 4-6 depending on the severity of the condition we are trying to improve. Best, Dr. Grant Stevens

Answer: Marks after vivace Have no fear! Although Vivace advertises as a "no downtime" treatment. When done more aggressively, it can act as a resurfacing treatment and often this means some residual visible signs for longer. This is not bad or dangerous. You'll have an even more signifiant response as a matter of fact. Just make sure you are staying out of the sun and protecting your skin through this healing process.
