There are newer implants. However, implants are not lifetime devices as declared by the FDA. Some implants can last a lifetime and some fail rapidly. The average lifespan of the implants is still dependent upon the bag. The bag lasts 10 to 20 years on average, but I have seen some not make a year and some last over 40 years.
