Beyond excessive itching with Fraxel Restore. Any suggestions?

Itching is a common symptom and, unfortunately, is part of the healing process for many patients.  However, it is rarely as intense as you describe it.  This is something that you should discuss with your Dermatologist before going through another Fraxel treatment, since you will probably experience these symptoms again.  There are many treatment options available for itch, and your provider can give recommendations tailored to your treatment plan.

Usually the itching responds well to topical steroids like hydrocortisone. Speak to your doctor about this treatment.  Be well. 

OK, itching is almost universal, especially on the chest and décolletage areas - here are my tips1. Anti histamines, take twice a day. Use a sedating antihistamine at night to help you sleep better2. Swap a thick moisturiser for a thinner one ( less occlusion to the sweat glands). Keep in fridge as this can alleviate the itch with cold3. Use ice packs, or have some cold water handy, soak with a towel4. Topical steroids from you Specialist- use only for a few days at max.5.
