After FUT surgery, sometimes you can feel an area of scaring but overtime this should heal and the so called “donor dent” should not be prominent.

Removal of 1000-1200 grafts from the entire donor area should not lead to any noticeable thinning.  However, if someone takes out the same number of grafts from a very small area, I am afraid, it may lead to the same..

We advise our patients to wait for two weeks before starting minoxidil.That way, they avoid the burning sensation it can cause if started too early after the procedure.Minoxidil will slow down further hair loss and possibly accelerate the growth of the transplanted hairs.
