Mole change and bruised (Photo)

Question

Ive had a skin colored mole on my left hip for aslong as i remember, but yesterday i noticed it was now blood red with a dark bruise in a circle around it. It looks like a blood blister almost, but with a bruise around it. Should i be concerned? I cant seem to find any info about a bruise surrounding a mole change.

Thank you for your question and photographs. It's difficult to evaluate your skin through this type of forum. There does seem to be some bruising but as for your mole, it's hard to assess it through photos. Any concerning or changing skin lesions should always be evaluated, so I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist to have your skin examined. Take care and good luck.
