Cafe au lait birthmark on cheek: Is the laser treatment working? (Photo)

Hellob. I have cafe ay lait birthmark on my right cheek and I did laser treatment using q switched laser and the doctor told me that he wanna see me after 5 weeks after treatment . I wanna make sure it is going the right way because my skin color changed to light pink after 21 days .. Is that normal ? And here is the picture to show you how it looks
