Applied Rogaine to face and developed acne, what can I use to clear it up?

Hello all. I applied rogaine to my beard area in attempt to fill in/thicken my facial hair and now I have broken out with acne in my chin/cheek area. I stopped use immediately, but it has not cleared up. What can I apply to help, thx!

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for treatment for active acne. I recommend skin care, peels, blue light, radiofrequency, lasers and microneedling/prp to get the most improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Be sure to see a dermatologist. A topical steroid in combination with topical acne medications will likely solve this issue.

How many days before do you stop to use minoxidil ?İti is not used for beard hair and you may have an allergic reaction , better to visit and consult a dermatologist .

If you developed acne from the minoxidil, then you need to stop it and then see a local dermatologist

Thank you for your question. A side effect of Rogaine can be skin irritation, rash, itching, redness, etc. I highly recommend you consult with a board certified dermatologist to have your skin evaluated and to discuss treatment options that best suit your needs. Take care and good luck.
