When do I switch to stage two garment? I'm 3 weeks post BBL.

Question

I'm 3 weeks post of BBL. How long should I wait to switch into my stage two garment...if I see imprints from the garment when I take it off does that mean it's too tight? And also is it ok to sit on my butt after a month...are the cells still at risk of being lost?

Hello dear,l thanks for your question. It will depend on the policy of each dr and also in the healing process of the patient. Is everything is ok with the patient I recommend them to wear their second stage faja from 2 to 3 days after surgery, but each dr. is different. I recommend you to talk about this with your surgeon and follow all his or her post surgical instructions. Good luck

I recommend my patients to start wearing the second stage garment two weeks after surgery for about 5 weeks. Consider using the special BBL pillow for sitting for another week or two.

I personally prefer patients to wear their compression garment for about 3-6 weeks. I do not usually recommend stage 2 garments, and some surgeons do not even recommend garments at all. Best to review with your surgeon.
