I just found out yesterday that I have Gum Disease and I'm have plastic surgery done may 8th, so I was wondering if I would be able to still have plastic surgery done on my body if I have Gum Disease. Is it safe or not?

It really depends on the procedure. Placement of breast implants should be avoided while there is active gum disease because the implants may become infected. Other procedures are probably ok, but you should ask yourself if your priority should be treatment of your gum disease and not your plastic surgery. See your surgeon to discuss this issue.

Gum disease covers a wide gamut of conditions.  Much more information would be required to assess whether the surgery would be contraindicated at this time.
