Microneedling damage is this reversible? (photos)

Question

I am convinced this is from dermapen treatment. I had about 7 microneedling sessions done in 2016, fell pregnant late 2017 and gave birth may 2018. Due to the delayed effects of micro I am convinced this is from dermapen. I had baby smooth skin before, only 3 small scars. I have mild-moderate comodone acne but never scarred. What is the solution to this type of scarring? Fine lines, running tracks, pigment, textural and tone change.

Thank you for your question. The female body goes through a myriad of changes during pregnancy and in the months to follow postpartum. Fluctuation in your hormone levels can cause changes to your skin for some time after delivery. It is likely that the changes you are experiencing in your skin are related to your pregnancy and postpartum state than the micro needling procedures you underwent. If you are concerned a visit to your dermatologist would be appropriate to discuss a skincare regime.

Thank you for your post. This is difficult as we need to know your treatment parameters - why? Because microneedling is a banal procedure. Namely if conducted properly the chances of scarring is slim. Note that everything one does, risks can occur. Specialists can reduce but not eliminate any risks associated with procedures. Delayed scarring is very very rare. Pregnancy can cause a myriad of skin issues, pigmentation, blood vessels etc. In regards to your case, Dr Robert Sinclair is the go to dermatologist in Brisbane.
