I haven't had injections in over a year. I went back to a previous Dr who usually does a good job. My brows are uneven at rest. the left one is crazy high when I lift my brows. How can this be corrected? Can the Spock brow be lowered or does the other one need to be lifted?
Answer: Uneven brows after Dysport Dear fightingthehandsoftime:A small amount of Botox, Xeomin or Dysport just above the peaked brow will smooth the brows. Two units above the peak should be sufficient, and in the future, you will want to have this as part of your treatment to prevent it from happening again.Interestingly, I notice you have a subtle lift of both brows at rest compared to your baseline, which you will like once the brows are corrected. All the best, Dr. Clark

Answer: Spock Eyebrow Thank you for submitting before-and-after photos to help understand your concerns. I agree that your left eyebrow now looks higher than your right and overly peaked ("Spock"). "Spock" eyebrow can be corrected by injecting additional Dysport or Botox into the frontalis muscle above the peak of the eyebrow where it is overly arched. This will bring the left eyebrow down to a more ideal level and to achieve better symmetry to the right eyebrow. This touch up is normally done shortly after the original treatment when the "Spock" eyebrow developed so that the Dysport wears off at the same time on both sides, which is usually around 6 months. In some patients, this time period can become longer than 6 months and approach 1 year. Considering that your treatment was over a year ago, you may consider just observing a while longer until the medication totally wears off otherwise your will restart the cycle on the left eyebrow and have the medication wear off in the right eyebrow, resulting in another difference in symmetry. A surgical brow lift may be an option to consider if you are not able to achieve the results you are looking for with Botox or Dysport. Ziyad Hammoudeh, MD

Answer: Spock after botox Thank you for your question and pictures. ¨Spoke¨brow can easily be treated with a small amount of Botox above the peak of the brow. This will target the lateral fibers of the frontalis muscles responsible for this. I recommend following up with your injector. All the best,
