Breast reduction, worried because of previous heart attack?

hi,i have been approved funding for a breast reduction on the nhs,and waiting for an appointment for a discussion with the plastic surgeon,i reall want this done,i am 58 yrs old and a size 36f,the volume of my breasts feel very heavy,my main concern which scares me is that nearly 6 yrs ago I had a heart attack and had a stent fitted,have had a couple of angina attacks since,but otherwise feel fine,i am worried about this

If you were in America, your surgeon would be asking your cardiologist for a clearance to proceed with an elective procedure.  The anesthesiologist would certainly require this.  Wiht the NHS, I have no idea of what responsibilities physicians have to their patients but I'm sure we in America will soon be finding out.  But if your stent is functioning and there are not other issues, many people with histories of a heart attack go on to have elective procedures without problems.

You MUST obtain a cardiac full clearance and have the operation done in a hospital setting if you obtain the clearance.//
