I currently have 36 DD cup breasts. I'm a very petite woman. I'm only 5'2 and 105 pounds. I've tried dozens of bras, but nothing helps my back pain and the marks in my shoulders and back are getting progressively worse over time. I love exercise, but it's hard to run with the bounce even though I've tried even the best of sports bras. I'm hoping that someone could tell me if a reduction from a DD to about a B cup could maybe be a possibility in the future for me.
Answer: Ultimate Breast Reduction™ At size 36 DD each 200 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size change.600 grams removed would make you a B.This could be done but may be disproportionate to your body. Many women think the only way to relieve neck, back and shoulder pain is by over reduction.Instead, I recommend a new technique called The Ultimate Breast Reduction™.The breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying muscle resulting in immediate pain relief. This technique avoids the ugly vertical scars of the traditional technique, maintains nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed. This allows you to choose the breast size proportionate for your body without undergoing excessive reduction to eliminate pain.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Is a breast reduction from a DD to a B cup achievable? You sound like you would be a good candidate for a breast reduction and would benefit greatly from the procedure. During my consultations patients often mention that they want their breasts to be a certain cup or bra size but cup sizes vary between manufacturers so the size they want may not be accurate or attainable. Achieving a nice shaped, natural looking breast that is proportionate to your body frame should be the ultimate goal. Be sure to consult with a Board Certified Plastic surgeon with elite credentials in breast reduction surgery to discuss your surgical options and what result you can expect.

Answer: Reduction possibilities Since you have a petite frame, it is quite possible to reduce your breasts to a B cup size. Most breast reduction techniques are able to reduce breasts to a size that is proportionate to their body frame. A physical exam would be needed to more accurately predict what your end results might be, but I would be optimistic based on your height and weight.

Answer: Breast reduction from DD to B cup Thank you very much for your question, the answer to this is yes, a reduction from a DD to a B is achievable in most cases. If you would like to go to a B your surgeon may need to adjust their technique slightly to achieve this. There are a number of different techniques for breast reduction and I think it would be worthwhile discussing these in detail with your surgeon so you get the best possible idea of what’s involved in the treatment and which technique they would recommend to get you down to the B cup. Best wishes.

Answer: Reduction from DD to B It is unlikely to get you down to a B and still maintain a nice shape if you started out as a DD. Tissue has to be maintained on the skin flaps and pedicle to keep things alive.
