I had a injection on the lateral edge of my forehead along my hairline felt like it hit a nerve. I had an immediate burning/electrical pain sensation that shot from the injection sight back onto the top of my head and in my hair. Today I noticed that if I brush by that area (e.g. when pushing hair out of my face) or touch it specifically, I have that same electrical shooting feeling and it almost feels as though the area it shoots into my hair actually contracts in response. Please advise.

Answer: Wait and see...
sounds like you correctly self-diagnosed the situation...probably will go away in a short time...several days to a week or so...in very rare instances this can lead to more prolonged irritation with the development of something known as a traumatic neuroma...these are usually caused by surgical injury to a nerve but may also be due to needle sticks right to the nerve...in this case you might need a little more treatment to remedy the situation...but remember this scenario is very, very rare...good luck...keep us informed

Answer: Nerve pain following botox injection.
Thanks so much for your question. Although it is very uncommon to have any nerve pain following botox injections it can happen. At this point in time the best thing to do is wait and give things some time. Your discomfort will gradually resolve. Any discomfort you are having is a result of the actual needle coming in contact with the nerve rather than from what was injected into the area. So, although this was a botox injection procedure, the botox probably doesn't have much of anything to do with your pain/discomfort. Give things some time and your symptoms will gradually go away and things will return to normal. Hope this helps.
