48, female, crepey, under eyes, Morpheus8 or Pelleve? (Photos)

Question

I am a 48 y female with crepey, thin and slightly baggy undereyes. I was recommended Deka Dot but I am not comfortable with the downtime & potential adverse events. I was also recommended Pelleve and Morpheus 8 as options. I have had two treatments with Pelleve about 4 years ago with a very slight improvement. I am considering either giving Pelleve another try with 3 treatments or trying Morpeheus 8. Is one more effective? Can trained RN perform these procedures?

Hi! Thank you for your question regarding creepy under eye skin. I would definitely recommend a combination of Botox injections to the obicularis oculi muscle (where the crow's feet are). This will help minimize the movement/formation/look of those fine lines, especially when you smile. Then, 3-4 weeks after I would suggest Morpheus 8 treatments to this area, which helps to tighten/lift the skin and promotes collagen formation. I hope this helps!

You would be a fabulous candidate for the Morpheus 8, It would target the tissue under the eyes the best. The Morpheus is a radio frequency based micro needling which breaks down adipose tissue, promotes collagen regeneration and cell turnover. It will tighten and shrink the skin around your eyes. There is little to no down time for Morpheus and it takes about 7-10 days to heal.

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.
