How important is the pieces of foam that go in the etched part of the abdominal etching surgery?

The crossbars shifted significantly immediately after the surgery. I did not discover that this was the issue until after one whole week post op. I have now corrected the issue but unfortunately this first week postop is the most critical. Wonder how much that matters in the final result? Thanks

The relevance of foam is controversial. The most important factor for the outcome of your abdominal etching is the perfect surgical technique and the capacity of your tissue to respond to that. To my humble opinion, additional post operative assets like foam are helpful to a certain degree, but their significance is generally overrated.In other words: I don't think you have to worry it won't make that much of a difference.

The crossbar foams that were placed under your compression garment are relatively important because they act like a brace that helps your own etched skin “Velcro” to the body as well as adds a bit more of compression. Generally, shifted foam does not make that much of a difference, but then again everyone’s body is unique in its own way. All the best,
