I’m 60. 40 DDD very saggy from weight loss and age. I’ve seen videos of Bellesoma and Horndesky methods. Why is this method not common. It looks appealing as it appears to lift the breast to a natural level retaining a natural shape including fullness to upper breast without the need of an implant. I want a lift but I don’t want an implant nor do I want to have a boxy shape to the lower apex of my breasts.
Answer: Types of breast lift to improve saggy breasts after weight loss? Hello @imalright1962, thank you for your question. Is important to understand there is no standard process. Each patient must have a personalized evaluation to take into account all factors that will affect the final result. This way we can define not only the volume but the technique to perform the breast lift in your surgical plan. For more information and recommendations is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation (in 95%) is maintained. At size 40 DDD, you do not need implants. The reason this technique is not common is because it is not a cookie cutter technique like the anchor pattern. Each patient is scanned and from that scan a specific blueprint to each patient is derived. This is then used for the surgery. I have talked to several physicians however, most physicians are not interested in something this complex even though it does give better results. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Saggy breasts after weight loss An in person consultation is really the best way to answer your question. A lift approach is decided based on the individual's concerns and surgical goals. Depending on the amount of natural tissue you have you may be a candidate for an autoaugmentation which uses your own tissue to provide upper pole fullness. I encourage you to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to determine what is recommended for you.

Answer: Breast lift Dear imalright1962, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Types of breast lift to improve saggy breasts after weight loss? There are different types of breast lift procedures that can help improve saggy breasts after weight loss. The choice of the specific type of breast lift depends on your individual needs and the extent of sagging. Some common types include:1. Crescent Lift: This is a minimal lift suitable for mild sagging. It involves a small incision around the upper half of the areola.2. Donut Lift (Benelli Lift): This lift is for moderate sagging and involves incisions around the areola, creating a “doughnut” shape.3. Vertical Lift (Lollipop Lift): This is suitable for moderate sagging and involves incisions around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease.4. Anchor Lift (Inverted-T Lift): This is for more severe sagging and involves incisions around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and horizontally along the crease.5. Peri-Areolar Lift: A limited lift with incisions around the areola, suitable for mild to moderate sagging. The choice of the lift will depend on your specific case and should be discussed with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can provide recommendations based on your goals and anatomy.
