Do collagen supplements help with collagen stimulation after microneedling?

I just did my 6th microneedling w/PRP session. I also had PRP injections. I am treating moderate atrophic acne scars. I was wondering if it’s worth getting a $40 Marine Collagen Powder to aid with collagen productions for the next couple of months or is it a complete waste of money?

Thanks for your query. There is no scientific study to prove that oral collagen works in rebuilding collagen fibers. Collagen is a type of protein and after ingestion it gets broken down into amino acids and is taken up by cells , so its use is questionable. Hope it helps.All The Best
