Replacing aligners every week rather than every 2 weeks?

When your dentist designs your Invisalign treatment plan, he/she can decide on 1,2, or 3 week tray changes and how much your teeth will be moved for each tray.  If your dentist has decided on tray changes every week, instead of the usual 2 weeks, it's likely that each 1 week tray only moves your teeth half as much as a normal 2 week tray.  Trust your dentist and follow his/her instructions with confidence.  Good luck to you and I hope this helps. There are a few ways that this is possible. One, if your orthodontist is pretty slick, is that some guys alter the velocity when they treatment plan the case with Align. In this way, you can change your aligners weekly and get a nice fresh one every week, even though they're not really speeding things up. Another way this is possible is if you are using an orthodontic accelerator, such as Acceledent. This is a device that I use for almost all of my patients and it actually expedites tooth movement so that the treatment time is actually cut, nearly in half.
