Any interaction between amoxicillin, acyclovir, lip fillers & l-lysine? When to start preventative cold sore treatment?

As far as I know, there shouldn't be any issue having Juvederm while taking antibiotics and it is pretty standard to pre-treat with some sort of cold sore medication if you feel one coming on. However, definitely discuss with your injector. Best of luck.

Thank you for your question.  I am not aware of any drug interactions between Juvederm and amoxicillin, and I do not anticipate that your antibiotics will impact your fillers at all.  While it's impossible to make exact recommendations without assessing you in-person, the symptoms you are describing do sound concerning for cold sores.  I generally recommend antiviral treatments (usually valacylovir) for patients with a history of cold sores prior to any lip fillers, starting the day before treatment and continuing for a few days after.  I would discuss your history with your dermatologist prior to your treatment, and medicate according to their recommendations.  Best of luck, and I hope you feel better soon!
