I had filler in my gabellas 11s on friday uts now monday theres swelling bit lumpy an red around the area also bruise marks where needle has been put in down one of the lines which was deep is this normal ? And how long for redness to disapear also get slight itching today monday

Yes, there can be swelling, but since you have redness, I recommend following up with your injector for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

This can be typical after filler/Botox. Icing, cold compresses and ibuprofen can give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

It is too soon after injection to determine what your final results will be as bruising and swelling is common after hyaluronic acid fillers and can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the treated area to help reduce swelling and bruising. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. Bruising can occur in any area although not common in this area unless you were taking medication or supplements that make you bruise. Bruise will go away in few days. Juvederm , when injected superficially, can cause what looks like a bruise but can be the Juvederm reflecting through skin. This will not go away like bruise. If lumping or bruising persist go see your doctor.  Be sure that you are seeing an experienced doctor
