I recently had a BA with 325cc & 350cc Natrelle 20's. I started out a flat A but I am tall with curvy hips so they look small on my frame. I feel that a 32D would look great on me. If I switch to a teardrop, will it give me the projection that I'm looking for? I want a natural look and lightweight implant. Stats: 5'7" 26"chest 10.5 BWD Prior: 32-24-36 Current: 35-24-36
Answer: Going bigger with breast implants Instead of a tear-drop implant, I would stick with round implants but just go to a bigger size with more height and projection. We have had tear-drop implants in Canada for a long time, and they cause additional problems that you don't see with rounds: tear-drops can rotate, and they can develop a late seroma (fluid) around them even years later.

Answer: Change from round to anatomical implant In most patients with a modicum of breast tissue it is difficult to tell the difference between a form stable or shaped implant and a round implant. If you want more upper pole fullness and round implant is better as a tear dropped shaped implant has less upper pole fulllness.

Answer: Is it possible to switch to from round silicone to anatomical teardrop? It is possible to switch, I however would first have this discussion with you Plastic Surgeon. Your photos are unfortunately not very helpful. A good physical examination will make a significant difference in determining what to do. Remember there are 30cc's in an ounce so the volume change you want may be more significant than you think. This would also adds weight that you are rightfully so concerned about, Good LuckStephen M. Answer: Is it possible to switch to from round silicone to anatomical teardrop? Teardrop implants are designed to look more natural by having more volume in the lower portion of the implant and less in the upper portion similar to a natural breast. The material that the implants are made out of are firmer than a silicone gel round implant in order to allow the shape to maintain even with gravity etc. There are different teardrop implants available and some have more projection than others. Going up in size will give you bigger breasts but switching to a teardrop from a round will take away some of the upper pole volume. A teardrop implant also required a bigger incision to place the implant than a round implant. It would be best for you to see a PS and undergo an exam to figure out what is the right choice for you to achieve your goals.
