Worried about the overdose of Minoxidil Topical Solution Coverit 5%. Will overdose result in hair loss? (Photo)

Got my hair transplant on 9th March, 2016. Approx 3500 grafts. I followed every instruction religiously. Reason I am worried is because I was suggested to apply the above mentioned solution 2ml twice a day but I was applying slightly more than 2ml. I observed acne on my forehead but since 4 days I have reduced the amount and the acne disappeared. Can overdose of the solution result in a permanent transplanted hair loss? Left side of the head has lost some transplanted hair as compared to right.

If the conditions are right, a graft can survive well over 12+ hours. If not, less than a minute.  It takes experienced staff members to keep your graft alive.

No one can predict when hair cloning will be a reality for cosmetic procedures. It's anyone's guess.

There is no way to tell if you dislodged your grafts based on how you slept. If you are concerned see your doctor for a recheck.

Hello,We advise to avoid sexual activity for first week after hair transplantation.  The rationale is to avoid increasing blood pressure.  There are no studies supporting this however.   Best  Anil Shah MD
