Ultrashape VS CoolsculptingBoth Ultrashape and Coolsculpting are effective for the lower abdominal region. They both require two inches of pinchable fat to work. Liposculpture can treat thinner patients.Ultrashape typically requires three treatment sessions as apposed to two with Coolsculpting.Assuming stable weight Coolscupting will reduce up to 15% of the pinchable fat, Ultrashape 22% and Liposculpture 50%.Liposculpture and Ultrashape can treat thighs, waist, back and neck as well, Coolsculpting can not.Coolsculpting does not really sculpt as it only reduces the peak of the belly bulge whereas Ultrashape can be tailored similar to Liposuction to sculpt the abdominal, waist, thigh and hip contours.Coolsculpting is moderately painfull during the procedure lasting 45 minutes, Ultrashape is associated with mild to moderate tingling and massage; liposuction will sting, tickle, massage and occaisional jab during treatment. Results are visible after one week with liposuction, two weeks with Ultrashape and 6-8 weeks with CoolsculptingPost op recuperation is one day with liposculpture, one month of moderate swelling, minimal to mild pain/soreness. Coolsculpting requires one day of recuperation with one month of swelling, bruising and painful sensitivity for weeks. Ultrashape treatment has minimal swellling, pain or bruising.Ultrashape may require Velashape or other RF treatments to maintain skin tightness. Liposculpture and Coolsculpting do not.Pricing is similar for Liposculpture and Ultrashape; approximately 15% less for Coolsculpting. Please consult in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon prior to making treatment decisions.
