Hello A little bit of information first: 5'2 and 125 lbs 11.5 bwd I got 350cc anatomical tall mod + mentor I am 13 DPO My main concern right now is the shape of the breast. I am wondering when the cone shape will disappear. How long on average does it take for it to disappear? Best
Answer: Torpedoes? Thank you for this question! I appreciate your dilemma with your current breast shape. I would suggest to you that it’s early in the process and the shape you’re seeing is temporary. Shape breast implants certainly look more natural than round breast implants, but the also swell up for a time after surgery. I believe you will see an improvement each an every week. See my results for shape in the link below. Congratulations and best wishes! Dr. Aldo

Answer: Torpedo (cone) shaped breasts: 350cc anatomical tall moderate plus Mentor 2 weeks ago. I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you are experiencing after breast surgery. Given that you are early in the recovery process, it is definitely too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at the early stages of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small or that the shape is not perfect. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. The breast implants will continue to change as you continue to heal. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Postop Everything looks appropriate for this stage and the cone is due to the tight skin in the lower pole squeezing the lower pole of the implant. As the skin stretches this resolves and it looks like you will get an excellent result. Keep in touch with your PS.

Answer: Anatomic #breastimplants two weeks ago - should I be concerned about my shape after #breastaugmentation? It is very early in your recovery for you to be concerned. Anatomic implants may settle somewhat differently from round implants, but there is a reason you and your surgeon likely selected anatomic style, and you need to be patient for the settling and stretching of the tissues. The desired end result of anatomic implants is typically a flatter upper pole (straight slope) and rounder lower pole, as opposed to a rounder overall breast shape. It takes time for the balance or your breast implant and native breast tissue to blend together and relax over a period of several weeks postop. Stay in close followup with your plastic surgeon and relay your concerns.
