Hi, I had Septorhinoplasty 4 months ago and the doctor told me at the last appointment that my face is getting really oily and to wash a bit harder, before discharging me. However I think I may have washed a bit too hard. The nose was tender with a short shock of pain, I lightened back and finished washing. Afterwards, laying down, my nose felt a little weird, and I could taste a bit of blood (not bleeding out). Now it feels slightly more congested. Discharged now, what should I do??

In rhinoplasty, the use of rib cartilage has relatively very low complication rate. The rib cartilage rhinoplasty has permanent result. Scarring is minimal, absorption is minimal compared to cadaver rib cartilage and is resistant to infection.
Thanks for sharing your question. I'm Dr Rodman, a facial plastic surgeon, and work with many trans patients. My question for you is, are you planning a rhinoplasty for breathing issues or to help masculinize your face?If you need the surgery for breathing/functional issues you should go ah...
If you can live with your breathing, you may consider a permanent nonsurgical nosejob to raise the top of your bridge. Our practice philosophy would be to reserve a more difficult revision rhinoplasty as a last resort. Let us know what your surgeon says. Wishing you well. Dr Joseph
