Will septoplasty cause the tip of my nose to drop as a I get older?

Septoplasties can change the angle of the septum and can change the tip projection and angle. The incisions to approach the septum can disrupt both the major and minor support structures of the nose. As we age the nose will stretch downward regardless of what we do. The key then, is to position the septum a little higher than it will be immediately after surgery so that when it relaxes downward it till come into the correct position.

Septoplasty is a operation done to relive nasal obstruction ,a properly done septoplasty with preservation of dorsal and caudal support should not affect nasal tip shape. Though like any other operation septoplasty too has its own complications, but the risk is low in competent hands.
