I've had to non surgical rhinoplasty's and the dr advised I'll only need touch ups once a year but the irregularities are coming back after 3 months. Is it ok to get it every 3 months and can I expect it to last longer as I continue treatment?
Answer: Liquid rhinoplasty It is certainly possible that you will need additional touchup. I hope that you would not need injections every 3 months. Filler in less mobile areas should last longer than reported by the manufacturer which for most HA's is 9 months. But I see it last a year in areas with less movement such as noses and ears, etc. But as the initial swelling and settling has occurred, a touch up at 3 months would not be unexpected for optimal results

Answer: Considerations for Frequent Touch-Ups in Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty Nonsurgical nose jobs typically involve the use of dermal fillers, which are temporary and generally last between 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of filler used and individual factors such as metabolism and lifestyle. It's not uncommon for some patients to notice irregularities or feel the need for touch-ups sooner than expected, like every 3 months. While it is possible to have touch-ups more frequently, it's important to consider the potential for filler accumulation and the risk of complications with repeated injections. Over time, regular maintenance might lead to longer-lasting results as the filler stimulates collagen production, but this varies from person to person. It's essential to discuss your concerns and desired frequency of touch-ups with your doctor. They can provide guidance based on your specific situation and ensure that treatments are done safely and effectively.

Answer: Duration of nonsurgical rhinoplasty Typically the hyaluronic acid filler used for nonsurgical rhinoplasty will be gradually absorbed by your body. Depending on the type of irregularities that are showing up after 3 months, the initial injection may or may not have been providing adequate volume to camouflage them. Small touch ups can certainly be performed prior to 1 year when appropriate. Repeat treatments unfortunately will not necessarily lengthen the duration each treatment lasts.

Answer: Injectable fillers should last longer than 3 months in somebody's nose. Since your treatment was only 3 months ago, you should consider bringing your concerns to the attention of your doctor. Depending on your examination, a small dose adjustment may be necessary, and this should be without major inconvenience. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
