I am 29. I am satisfied with my skin condition but want to do laser treatment for anti-aging purpose. I have fair, normal-to-dry skin. Which one of the two lasers would be more suitable? Is it a good idea to do them alternatively as they target different layers of skin? If so, in what frequency should I do each one? How long before and after the above 2 treatments should I avoid using retinol? Do I need to stop using vitamin C before and after them? Thank you!
Answer: Facial Rejuv -- PRP, Laser (Fraxel/Halo/Co2/moxi), emeragecosmetics COSMELAN ENLIGHTEN/ EMERAGESKIN AERIFY sounds like you need a customized program. Id suggest you consult. best to do genesis, CB, and MN, PRP all together thats what I do every 6 weeks with skincare and AERIFY every 2 weeks. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (EmerageSkin roller with anteage AERIFY MD ampules weekly, see link) should be started now to prevent further aging. For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest 7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin 8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months) Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Laser Genesis vs Clear&Brilliant You question is a great one! We do both Clear&Brilliant(C&B) and Laser Genesis! We love them both and do them for various reasons. In your case,as a healthy 29 year old with good skin-I would recommend Clear&Brilliant first with a monthly treatment for three months to both stimulate collagen and provide deep nonablative resurfacing! The treatment requires 30 minutes numbing for a comfortable 30 min treatment with about 5 hours of redness followed by a grainy feel to the skin as it sluffs the damaged top layer of cells over the next 2 weeks. You can wear makeup the next day and will look fine for work or social functions. After the 3 months of C&B you can begin Laser Genesis(LG) to keep your skin as nearly perfect as possible.LG is painless-takes about 25 min -and has no downtime. We don’t recommend halting retinol for either of these treatments but please discuss with your doctor who knows your skin. At 29 years of age -you can do LG every 1-3 months depending on budget and time and results. It’s the Best maintenance for healthy beautiful skin.I hope that provides the most perfect plan for you!

Answer: Clear & Brilliant VS Laser Genesis Our office offers both of these treatments and has experienced very satisfactory results, individually and in conjunction with each other. We often alternate between modalities to customize a tailored treatment plan depending on skin care concerns and goals. Clear & Brilliant and Laser Genesis are both great anti aging treatments. Some of the benefits of these treatments overlap, such as smoothing fine lines, diminishing the appearance of enlarged pores and evening skin tone. Clear & Brilliant is most effective at treating textural irregularities, while Laser Genesis is better suited to diffuse redness and fade acne scars. These treatments compliment each other very well if alternated. The downtime for each treatment does vary significantly as Laser Genesis has none and Clear & Brilliant can be up to 5 days. Make sure you seek out an experienced provider. We hope this information is useful and wish you the very best of luck in achieving your skin care goals!
