I am a female have been using Rogaine 5% foam for 1.5 years with excellent results. I would say, I have seen about 20% improvement in my overall hair volume and thickness. My question is does Rogaine work to keep the improvements I have gotten as long as I use it (assuming no other changes in my health) or will the results diminish with time?
Answer: Hair loss -- PRP, Progesterone, Viviscal, Rogaine, Spironolactone/Finesteride The results of minoxidil will not diminish over time. But your genetics will cause you to continue to loser hair no matter what you do. Continue to use as directed, if you have a new onset of hair loss please consult with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: MInoxidil - do results diminish over time? Hormonal changes and expression of new genes all influence genetic hair loss. One can only best answer your question if the reason for your hair loss is stated and your age. If you are 25-30 and what you experienced was actually some nice regrowth on account of a telogen effluvium, you may stay the same for a long time. If you are 46 with female pattern hair loss, you may experience some loss over the next 20 years.

Answer: Romaine Efficacy Great Questions!Minoxidil does not lose effeciacy over time but there will be times throughout the year (seasonal shedding) when it will feel as if it may be as shedding increased and diminshes with your body's rhythm throughout the year. Also, its key to remember that if there is a genetic component to the reason why you are using minoxidil, follicles also age as we do. Minoxidil mitigates hair loss, does not stop it; unfortunately. Hence desnity as our follicles age does continue to become less although minoxidil is one of the best most cost efficient least invasive options you consider in slowing down the aging of follicles. Continue use! You can always increase the potency to 6,7 or 8 percent, have additional components you use with your minoxidil such as retinoic acic that can increase minoxidil absorption, azaleic acid, etc...
