How to keep hair after rogaine use

I am a female and I use Rogaine 5% foam for alopecia and my hair is starting to grow but I read if I stop using rogaine that my hair will fall out, How do I retain the growth if I stop using the rogain. I use a does in the morning and at night. also will rogain grow hair on the top and back of the head because only the hairline is growing. Thanks
