Eye pressure & cough from Minoxidil 5% foam. Should I quit or try to develop tolerance to the side effects?

My hair is thinning during the last year and I decided to try Minox 5% foam. after first application felt eye pressure/pain for 3 days. second application with less foam, still felt the side effects but less. I have also noticed I am coughing for a few hours after each application. Have you heard of this? can I try to continue with treatment and see if the side effects subside?
