I wanted to have Motiva Ergonomix implants. My doctor advised me to have a 205cc Mini implant, but I'm worried the projection might not be high enough. But when I asked if it was possible to have a Demi projection, I was told the diameter would be smaller, and that a Mini implant would give me a better cleavage. I like the bigger diameter, but why can't I have a Demi implant that has the same diameter? In case it's important: I'm 168cm tall and weigh about 60 kg with an AA cup.
Answer: Thank you for your question. There are three different dimensions in all breast implants: Volume (in cc’s), width (in cm) and projection (in cm), and as a rule the most important dimension in selecting an implant is width. The “mini” is the least projecting, and the “Demi” is slightly more projecting. For a given volume, the wider the implant the less projecting. Therefore, as you increase the projection, if you keep the same volume, the width will be narrower. If you share photos of women whose breasts you feel are beautiful, trust your plastic surgeons to select the proper implant for you. Best of luck to you.

Answer: They Make it What you want is an implant whose diameter is the same as the 205 cc mini, but in the demi projection. That would be the 245 cc demi.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear Belgiumgirl, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Implant diameter is like your shoe size - it doesn't change regardless of the style Once the correct diameter for you is measured, tested and chosen, IT DOESN'T CHANGE! You don't stick with the same volume, you stick with the same diameter. So, if a lower profile implant has a given diameter that fits you, a higher profile version should have the exact same diameter or it won't fit you. It will have more volume and be larger and fuller, but it will fit your chest properly. This is such a simple fact, I don't understand why so many patients and even some physicisans don't understand it.
