I work in a fast paced restaurant and usually lift heavy trays, plates, and ice buckets. I plan on getting breast implants sometime next year, but I was wondering how long I should take off work after surgery?
Answer: How long should I be out of work as a server/waitress? I plan on getting breast implants next year Hi there, thank you for your question. Normally, patients can go back to work after 5 days. But, if you work in a job that requires lifting heavy things, you should be out of the work for at 3-4 weeks.

Answer: Breast Augmentation Hi & thanks for your question. You will have some restrictions for the first 3 weeks. No heavy lifting ( greater than 10lbs), no vigorous exercise. You need to give your body to to heal. You should be able to return to work after the 3 week point. Check with your surgeon for his or her restrictions and guidelines. Best wishes!

Answer: Getting back to work-- 3 weeks for heavy serving. It's important to follow your surgeon's protocol. Your timeframe for returning to work depends on what your job entails. More than 90 percent of my patients go back to work on the fifth day after their cosmetic breast surgery if they work in an office setting. Women who must use their arms to lift, push or pull (such as nurses, hairstylists or waitresses) normally return to work toward the end of the second week, around the 14th day after surgery. More intense upper body at least 3 weeks. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee. Philadelphia, Pa. USA
