My skin is red, itchy and peeling after Retin-A for keratosis pilaris. What should I do?

My doctor recommended Retin-A as a treatment for Keratosis pilaris on my arms, I am using 0.05 tretinoin cream for about 2 weeks now, but my condition is much worse, my skin is red, itchy and it's peeling like crazy. What should I do right now? I can't stand this treatment anymore

Thanks for your question.  It is impossible to know exactly what you are using.  We tell our patients that are starting a Retinol to start twice a week for a couple weeks.  As your skin can tolerate it, increase the frequency.  You may not get to daily use.  I hope this helps.
