I had a facelift 20 days ago, I am healing slowly but I am having bumps( a swollen line) on each side of my temples near the stiches at my eyes level.I started panicking, is it normal? It is giving a weird look of dog eyes. I am devastated by this! If this will go away, hiw long does it takes? It is too much showing and difficult to hide with hair.

I am sorry you are experiencing this. Having done over a thousand facelifts, I can tell you that this can happen occasionally depending on the shape of your face, the amount of skin laxity, the excision type, The amount of skin rotation, etc. Fortunately, this is almost always temporary. If this is still there at 6 months, your surgeon will probably suggest a very minor revision/skin excision around your temple area. The incision line will not really be visible, and you may even have decreased crows feet in the area as the temporal skin is pulled tighter. Best of luck to you.

We call these bumps dog ears in plastic surgery or standing cutaneous deformities.  They can be corrected in the office by excising a bit more skin superiorly along your temporal hairline.  Since you have waited 3 weeks since the procedure and they have not resolved, it may be best to revise them.

The photos show postoperative swelling which will subside and not be a permanent issue.  It is not uncommon to have some degree of temporal swelling after a facelift, lasting 3-6 weeks for most patients.

This is common as this is where the skin flap incision has ended. This is likely due to swelling and the rotation of the face skin flap.Usually with time this flattens as the swelling subsides

way too early to worry about this. YOu are still swollen and you need to let a couple of months go by.  If necessary the area can be improved surgically later on.
