Will a chin implant negatively impact future braces?

Without an exam your question cannot be answered.  You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be better treated with other facial surgery (orthognathic surgery), although a chin augmentation may be an option at a later time. Placement of a chin implant has no bearing on the orthodontic treatment for straightening teeth.  Chin implants are placed below the tooth roots and are placed directly over the mandibular bone on the front part of the chin.  It certainly acceptable to undergo the chin implant before, during, or after orthodontic braces treatment.

There is no correlation between a chin implant and orthodontic appliances. One does to affect how the other one creates its anatomic effects.
