hello Destiny007 You may not be satisfied with the appearance of your breasts. Incorrect implant size, inappropriate scar location or appearance, and misplacement of implants may interfere with a satisfactory appearance. Asymmetry (unequal breast size or shape) may occur. The implanted breast may sag or droop (ptosis) over time, much like a natural breast. The explanted breast may droop or be distorted in shape. #size #options
Thank you for sharing your question. Though each patient is different most will return to a size similar to their original starting point after a breast explantation and lift. With large implants some patients can experience thinning of their natural breast tissue and a smaller size. Remember that the most important consideration is removal of the implant and it's scar tissue with appropriate tailoring of the skin to leave you a pleasing shape and contour to the breast. Hope this helps.
Thank you for the question. Generally speaking, what your breasts will look like after explantation depends on several factors such as: the quality of skin elasticity (the better the elasticity the better the skin will bounce back), the size of the implants used (the larger the implant the more trouble you may have with redundant skin), and the amount of breast tissue present at this time (which may have changed since the time of your breast augmentation).Life experience since your breast augmentation procedure, such as pregnancy or weight gain weight loss, will potentially influence the factors discussed above. If you take these factors into consideration and apply them to your specific circumstances you may get a good idea of what to expect after the implants are removed. Patience is definitely indicated after removal of breast implants; it will take many months/year for the skin to “bounce back” and for you to see the final appearance of the breasts. In "borderline" cases where there is doubt whether breast lifting is necessary or not, I advise patients to undergo explantation only and to give their breasts the benefit of the doubt before deciding whether breast lifting would be beneficial. I hope this helps. Best wishes.
HiThanks for your question.Typically breast tissue thins out after some time following implant insertion. Therefore depending on how long it's been since you had the augmentation you should have about the same amount of tissue now compared to preop or less.A lift (mastopexy) will not add to the breast size so you should be about the same size or possible less when the procedure is completed. That being said the mastopexy would help shape the breasts to avoid drooping.I hope this helps.....
There are many variables that can affect your breast size after removal of your breast implants thus making predicting what size you will be very difficult. some of these factors include: how long you have had your implants, have you had weight fluctuations during that interval, and whether you've had children during that time period. Each of these factors can affect how much breast tissue you have. I would recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. He or she will also be able to examine you which may help indicate how much breast tissue you have. If you haven't had your implants for long, and haven't had weight fluctuations, then, in all likelihood, you will be close to your same size pre-implants. Good luck!
Most times after removal of your implant, you will be approximately the same size as before given that you haven't lost or gained much weight since your original surgery. The lift will just remove any skin that has been stretched out from your implants. Won't change you size or remove breast tissue.
Depending on if your weight is approximately the same as when implants were placed, you can expect that you will have an A cup or smaller once the implants are removed. There will likely be loose skin as well unless the implants were in for a very short time.
Unless you gained breast tissue with weight gain or pregnancy, you will probably go back to being a A or A- after removal.
If you have not lost or gained weight, then you should still be an A cup but with 400 cc implants will need a breast lift in order to avoid deformity in most cases. If your NA complex is in the correct position, this can sometimes be done with an internal lift.
It is true that nicotine can pose real problems during surgery. Nicotine constricts blood vessels which can impact getting blood to healing areas. Marijuana is not without its issues around surgery too. It is important that you closely follow your surgeons instructions and stop marijuana use...

Hello clare2128 It is quite common for the two breasts to heal differently. One may swell more, one may feel more uncomfortable, or the shapes may differ initially. After complete healing, they should look more similar and natural. Patience is required, but if you are concerned, ask qu...
