US doctors seems to do more rounded chin implants? Will doctors be able to this kind of implant that seems to be popluar in asia? preferably in bay area or Beverly Hills.
Answer: V-Shaped Chin Implants Most female chin implants that I do are V-shaped as that is a more contemporary female chin implant design. Whether that is best done by using a standard vs a custom chin implant differs for each patient.

Answer: V-shape face in Asia I certainly can but I rarely do because eventually you have to change other proportions of the face to balance it and eventually you look ridiculous. Like a human version of a Snap filter. Most of the photos you see of women are highly filtered and video is usually of women covered in makeup.Best of luckChase Lay MD

Answer: Chin contour - taoered The Asian images typically relate to a genioplasty which can taper and contour the chin to the desired shape. As well the chin has to blend into the rest if the jawline so many of the same images have had a V line tapering along the entire jawline. Implants do not accomplish this contour well.

Answer: Can doctors in the US do a V shaped chin implant? Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. Non smiling photos of your face (I see a front but not a side view) from the front and side would help in the evaluation of exactly what shaped silastic chin implant would be require to create that shape. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Hope this helps.
