It is so incredibly frustrating that if you ask 100 doctors about ow long to wear a faja, you will get 100 different answers. I don't understand why there is zero consistency in medical opinion about this topic. Help!
Answer: Research on postoperative care It would be very hard to conduct that type of research . In general, 4-6 weeks of compressive garment should be sufficient. Hope this helps.

Answer: Is there any peer reviewed medical research as to the effectiveness of compression garments after lipo/bbl? This is a question for the plastic surgeon who performs your BBL as plastic surgeon preferences for types of compression garments and length of wear vary. As a American Board of Plastic Surgery Board Certified Plastic Surgeon I recommend that my patients wear an adjustable abdominal compression garment for six weeks. This compression garment does not cover the buttocks or the hips. Your surgeon is ultimately responsible for your healing; based on his/her education, experience, training, and expertise, your plastic surgeon will make the best recommendation based upon your surgery and anatomy.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear flab.to.fab., I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.
