Wound dehiscence 6 days post op septorhinoplasty.

Question

After getting my cast off I was cleaning all the dried up blood. It seems as though the incisions have separated. The right side has already crusted back over but the left side seems pretty open. My surgeon didn't seem too concerned and is just having me apply bactroban. Will this heal normally? I'm so nervous and stressed.

it's hard to answer this question without photographs. It is likely that things will heal fine.  Trust your doctor and stay in close contact with him as the healing continues to take place.  If a noticeable scar develops, this can be revised at a later date. Best regards

Although uncommon, it can happen that absorbable sutures can fray and loosen, giving the appearance of a wound to look open.  In most cases this heals without any problem.  Continue following your doctors instructions, and keep your follow up appointments. Thanks for the question.
